2020 has been a tough year and the pandemic has changed the way non-profit organizations fundraise. This provided our D2D team an opportunity to rethink and come up with more innovative methods to raise funds.

Across the globe, in-person events were being cancelled due to the surging pandemic, but at the same time, virtual events and performances were driving people to new online platforms. Inspired by this phenomenon, our team decided to produce a virtual music concert fundraiser.

The Youth In Motion Online Charity Concert presented nine musical performances with past participants of America's Got Talent and The Voice. The performances were interspersed with stories of young patients who were put on a road to recovery thanks to the incredible care they received at BC Children’s Hospital. The concert celebrated International Youth Day and the 10th Anniversary of the Young Ambassador Program.

Over 3,000 people tuned in to watch the show and the YouTube video has had over 13,000 views to date. The concert raised over $116,000; funds that pushed the Young Ambassador Program’s fundraising tally to over $2 million for BC Children's Hospital.
